Handling accessibility requests and complaints
The accessibility of a digital website, mobile application or any element thereof may be requested by any person. It is also possible to request that information be made available in alternative forms, for example, reading a digitally inaccessible document, describing the content of a film without an audio description, etc.
If you have a problem with the digital accessibility of this website or its content, please report it – by e-mail to instytut.finansow@mf.gov.pl or by telephone on 22 694 5789.
In such a request, please include:
- your name,
- your contact details,
- the exact address of the subpage on which the digitally inaccessible element or content is located
- a description of what the problem is and what the requester thinks would be the best way of solving it.
We will respond to accessibility requests promptly, but no later than within 7 days. If it is not possible to ensure the accessibility of the site, or its elements, within this period, we will inform the person making the request. We will also indicate a new deadline for dealing with the matter or propose an alternative means of access to the extent indicated in the request.
If an entity refuses to comply with a request to provide accessibility or alternative access to information, you can complain about this action.
Architectural accessibility
Institute of Finance, 12 Świętokrzyska Street, 00-916 Warsaw
The Institute of Finance is located in the Ministry of Finance Building, which is accessible to persons with mobility difficulties.
The building is located in the Śródmieście district, in the very centre of Warsaw, surrounded by Świętokrzyska, Czackiego and Traugutta Streets.
The Institute can be reached independently or by public transport.
Easy access is possible by metro on line M2 – stop: Nowy Świat Uniwersytet or by bus – stop: Nowy Świat 02.
The easiest way to get to the main entrance of the Ministry building is through the courtyard – which is located on the side of Świętokrzyska Street. On both sides of the courtyard there are walkways leading to the building. They are located perpendicular to Swietokrzyska Street. They are not provided with guidance paths for the blind/visually impaired.
There is a car park in the courtyard on the side of Swietokrzyska Street, where 2 parking spaces for the disabled are allocated and marked on the right side (entry to the car park and use of parking in these spaces requires prior arrangement).
In front of the stairs to the main entrance from Swietokrzyska Street on the right there is a ramp for people with mobility impairments equipped with a handrail.
The entrance door to the building is wheelchair accessible. It is possible to be assisted by Institute staff at the entrance to the building by prior arrangement by telephone – tel. 22 694 5789.
When you enter the building, there is a reception desk to the right of the main entrance. There you can obtain the necessary information on how to navigate the building and on the support services available. The Institute’s staff pick up appointments from reception in person.
A further passageway is secured by access-controlled gates, through which a person in a wheelchair can pass and then move freely through the building – along the corridor to the left or to the right. Behind the gates on the right is the cloakroom. At the end of the corridors there is a glass door, followed by further parts of the building.
The stairs (start and end) are marked in contrasting colour.
There is no Braille or enlarged print signage in the building for the blind and visually impaired.
The corridors in the building have a width of min. 150 cm, which allows wheelchair users to pass each other without problems.
The building also has signposting to different parts of the building and information to make it easier to navigate the building and find the room you are looking for.
There are lifts within the building to enable wheelchair users to use them.
It is possible to enter the building and all its rooms with an assistance dog and a guide dog.
